Beloved Founder of PineCrone, Fern Hill met her death on June 10th. It is her wish that PineCrone continue as a retreat center.

Here is an excerpt from her obituary in the Austin American Statesman. June 17th 2011:

"Fern founded and directed the PineCrone Labyrinth Retreat Center and wildlife sanctuary in Bastrop, where, since 2001, over 100 presenters and organizations have offered retreats and workshops on topics ranging from herbal medicine to sacred creativity to home funerals. At the Retreat Center, Fern constructed a beautiful 7-cycle Cretan labyrinth where many have met and meditated. The labyrinth is constructed of stone from the Lost Pines where the Center is located. She was a founding member of the Bastrop Healing River Alliance and was a member of the Labyrinth Society.

She is survived by many soul sisters and friends who will sing forever of her beauty and wisdom."
